Q - What do I need to run NRGSTREAM Trader?
To run NRGSTREAM Trader you must run a Microsoft operating system from Windows 2000 forward (i.e. 2000, XP, Vista, Windows 7) and have access to the internet.
Q - Whats the differences between the Xtractor imbedded in Trader vs. the Xtractor product?
The Xtractor imbedded in Trader only runs extracts while Trader is running. The Xtractor product runs as a windows service and can run extracts even when out of windows. Xtractor is suited to run on a server.
Q - Why can I only see the first couple of hours on my Chart? How can I change the chart settings so I can see the hole data at once?
From the chart,menu and select options. Set the Gap value to 0.
Q - I know that NRGSTREAM provides data from California, but I can't find it in my account. How can I get access to it?

Q - I am a customer of the ICAP Brokers, and know that NRGSTREAM carries the data. How do I get their data added to my account?

Q - The popup alert dialog in NRGSTREAM trader is annoying me. How do I disable it?
Bring up the Alert window and remove the checkbox from "Pop on Alert". Minimize the Alert window.
Q - My Interactive chart does not work. How can I resolve this?

Q - How can I download the latest version of NRGSTREAM Trader?
 Go to www.nrgstream.com and click on Support tab.
 Click on the Installing NRGSTREAM Trader link on the right side of the page.
 Login with your user credentials.
 Select one of the following options:
 Download NRGSTREAM Trader 7 64 bit or Download NRGSTREAM Trader 7 32 bit
 You will need administrative privileges to install.
Q - I am having problems installing NRGSTREAM Trader. What should I do?
If an error has occurred during installation, ensure that the install has run with sufficient privileges. To run the software, the Installer must have permission to read and write to the programs file directory and to the registry.
Q - How do I install NRGSTREAM Trader API and Excel Add-in?
The Trader API and Excel Add-in are now bundled in the install of latest version of NRGSTREAM Trader.
Q - Get New Data has failed the COM API the Excel Add-in or the Excel Macro support. What should I do?
Ensure that NRGSTREAM Trader is running and the NRGSTREAM API Service is Started.

Q - I can’t login to NRGSTREAM Trader from home. What is the problem?
There can be multiple instances of NRGSTREAM Trader installed on different PCs. However, the system is designed so that only one instance can be running at any given time. Ensure that your account is not in use on another instance of Trader. Be sure to Log out before trying to login from a different location.
Q - Is there an alternate way to access my NRGSTREAM Trader account when away from the office?
Yes, you can access your account via NRGSTREAM Professional.  Ensure your NRGSTREAM Trader account is logged out.
 Go to www.nrgtream.com and click on the Login tab.
 Login with your user credentials.
Q - I would like to personalize a stream by adding two of them together. How can I achieve this
Streams can be added together using the Data Adjustment feature.
 Choose a Stream and double click to launch the Streams Properties window.
 Click on the Data Adjustments tab at the top of the Stream Properties window. Select Adjust Data by Stream and click the Select button.
 Navigate the Stream Selection folders, make a Stream Selection and click the Save button at the top of the column on the right of the Stream Selction window.
 Once you have selected a Stream, select the operator "+" from the drop down box and click the Save button to complete the Data Adjustment.
* Other custom Streams like Spreads and Heat rates can also be created.
Q - How do I create a day over day comparison chart?
You can make this comparison by first duplicating the Stream and adjusting the date criteria of the duplicate Stream to the previous day. To accomplish this:
 Duplicate a Stream and open its Properties window.
 Click on the View Range tab and adjust Rolling View from -1 to -1 and click Save.
 Create a new chart with the original Stream and the Dublicate Stream.
 Ensure the date criteria for the original stream is set from 0 to 0.
Q - I would like to create a slide show using some charts and panels. Do you have this option?
Yes, NRGSTREAM Trader provides a feature called Windows Cycling. From the NRGSTREAM Trader Tools menu select Window Cycling Options and specify your settings.
 Open the Window menu and select Cycle Active Views to start cycling your active charts and panels.
 Press CTRL + Q or go to the Window menu and select Quit Cycling Views.
Q - Does NRGSTREAM show Standard Deviation?
Yes, this feature is available as selectable display options. We have hourly, daily and monthly Standard Deviation representing the hourly, daily and monthly variation from the average.
